French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez confirmed that at least 440 individuals were arrested on Tuesday as students and public sector unions held strikes across Tuesday across France. More than 150 demonstrations were planned in around 90 departments, including marches in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Lille, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Rennes and Nantes.
