Version 7.18.3
Taxpayer-funded messaging that frames a grandparent's embrace as violative insults the generations that hold Irish families together. Public money belongs with actual victims, not with campaigns that cast ordinary affection as suspicious. If the government wants to focus on consent, it should stop attacking Irish families and seek consent before continuing to fill their country with migrants who commit disproportionate crimes.
Kids deserve the right to say no to unwanted physical contact, and teaching that early is basic protection rather than an attack on anyone's family members. A clumsy ad doesn't make the message wrong, especially when a big share of childhood abuse comes from within the family circle. Treating a figurative, low-budget video as literal policy buries a conversation that could benefit countless families and victims.
