The AP on Monday projected Los Angeles City Council member Nithya Raman had secured a spot in the mayoral runoff, setting up a race against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. With 93% of votes counted, Bass led with 34.3% of the vote, followed by Raman at 28.6% and Republican Spencer Pratt at 25.8%.
