Thomas Massie has become a roadblock to Republican voter priorities, voting against Trump's America First legislation, criticizing U.S. military action and breaking with party leadership when it mattered most. His pattern of "no" votes only emboldens Democrats as the GOP holds a slight majority in a dangerously divided House. Meanwhile, Gallrein, a man who actually understands foreign policy from his personal experience in the special forces, is a reliable conservative who supports not only Israel and national defense but also border security and lowering taxes.
MAGA was supposed to break with decades of debt, endless spending and foreign entanglements, not repeat them. While Trump now backs massive spending bills, foreign aid and regime change foreign policy, Thomas Massie is doing exactly what voters were promised: opposing deficit explosions, questioning unauthorized military threats and exposing Epstein's co-conspirators. Massie is the America First leader whom Trump campaigned on being.
The GOP sold "America First" as anti-intervention, then sent troops into Venezuela and floated "running" the country, with Trump and his own administration giving conflicting explanations and leaving even allies confused. While it's nice to see a Republican like Massie push back on Trump's rogue foreign policy, it's not enough to represent the real issues voters care about. It's time for a fresh face in District 4 — someone who cares about affordable health care, economic equality and ending the polarization in Washington.
