Maduro isn't a persecuted president, but rather a cartel boss who turned Venezuela's military, ports and borders into a cocaine pipeline shipping hundreds of tons of illegal substances into the U.S. His own family members were convicted in New York for drug smuggling using diplomatic passports. The June 2027 trial is long overdue accountability for a regime that merged state power with organized crime.
