The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

Houthi attacks on Saudi oil tankers are a reckless escalation that threatens global energy markets and regional stability. Trump has made clear the U.S. will hold Iran directly accountable for every Houthi strike, and Europe has condemned the blockade as dangerously irresponsible. Saudi Arabia is assembling a serious military coalition, and the Houthis are gambling with consequences far beyond anything Yemen can absorb.

Establishment-critical narrative

Yemen's fight against Saudi Arabia is legitimate resistance against a years-long blockade that has strangled the Yemeni people. Riyadh serves U.S. and Israeli interests at the expense of its own neighbors, and striking Saudi oil tankers is a proportional response to Saudi aggression against Sanaa International Airport. The Axis of Resistance is coordinated and committed, and Saudi Arabia badly underestimates what it's walking into.
