The Spin

Climate activist narrative

Human caused climate change is hammering nuclear plants with record droughts that will only get worse. Romania had to kill power at Cernavoda because the Danube hit historic lows from this mess. Europe needs to slash emissions right now or more reactors will go dark.

Climate-skeptic narrative

Nuclear plants work fine when governments build basic protections like weirs and redirect water instead of panicking over weather. Romania blew the shutdown by waiting too long on simple fixes and now relies on imports plus wind that cannot cover evenings. Hungary shows the smart path by acting fast to keep Paks running.
