Version 7.18.3
Health care doesn't stop at the prison gate, and yanking treatment away from people who've relied on it for years is punishment no court should bless. Prison officials answer to the Constitution, not to a political checklist written to score points. Keeping care in place while the case plays out is the only humane and lawful outcome.
Prison officials, not judges, should decide what treatments and clothing belong behind bars when security risks are real. Padding can conceal contraband, while accommodations for trans inmates can fuel resentment or trigger attacks. Regardless, taxpayers shouldn't bankroll these treatments while the administration fights to overturn the ruling on appeal.
