OpenAI Discloses Six Misalignment Cases, Publishes Reporting Framework

This is the responsible path for keeping AI under human control. Publishing even uncertain cases promotes transparency, allows proper public scrutiny and speeds fixes. OpenAI should be commended for taking the first step towards industry-wide reporting standards that can curb dangerous models without impeding innovation.
Establishment-critical narrative
OpenAI is drip feeding knowledge of its products engaging in dangerous, and sometimes criminal, activity and expects applause for finally developing a reporting framework several years after its products reached the open market. It is clear that AI development is wildly out of control under the guise of voluntary commitments, and regulatory intervention cannot come sooner.
