Suddenly sovereignty matters, but only when the other side asks for help abroad. For years the Brazilian left courted foreign governments and global NGOs to pressure and isolate a sitting conservative president and called it defending democracy. Now the same conduct by the opposition gets branded treason and is even landing people in prison. That double standard is the real scandal.
