The Spin

Right narrative

Sánchez and his allies have run out of legitimate arguments and are now revealing the deeply anti-democratic nature of their campaign. No international observers, Peruvian authorities or party representatives found any irregularities in the overseas voting process. Yet, they refuse to accept the sovereign will of Peruvian voters at home and abroad.

Left narrative

It's hypocritical of Fujimori and her supporters to now call for respect for electoral results, given that they filed several baseless fraud claims to delay Pedro Castillo's official recognition as president, thereby dragging the country through months of political uncertainty. Demanding institutional respect now, after weaponizing those same institutions, is a stunning contradiction.
