It's great that the Trump administration is ending a scheme built to shutter well-run coal plants by demanding technology that doesn't exist at scale. Choking off fossil fuels only drives prices up, and California's sky-high gas costs prove where that road leads. America needs more affordable energy, not more red tape written to strangle it.
Democratic narrative
This is a horrifying decision that will guarantee hotter summers, worse floods and more kids in the emergency room with asthma attacks and heatstroke. Gutting one of the nation's most essential climate policies is a betrayal of the EPA's mission to protect health. Families end up paying with their wallets and their lungs.
