The Spin

Pro-government narrative

The rising levels of electricity consumption and production forecast by the EIA are a testament to the success of the Trump administration’s energy policies. These measures have made the U.S. more energy dominant than ever before, which has crowned America a world leader in oil and gas production while simultaneously driving consumer costs to new lows.

Climate-concerned narrative

The Trump administration’s fixation on fossil fuels is slowly killing America. Not only is the policy economically misguided when clean energy investments reached over $2.4 trillion globally in 2024, but it is also lethal, with the measures promising to exacerbate the climate crisis and add to the over 50,000 Americans killed every year due to pollution.

Climate-skeptic narrative

The U.S. must adopt a sensible approach to its energy policy. The first but crucial step would be to recognize the "climate change" con for what it is: bad science that misrepresents the facts. With that settled, the government should embrace fossil fuels as an integral part of America's energy mix and withdraw federal subsidies supporting less impactful renewables.
