Lifeboat crews pull anyone out of the water without asking where they came from, and terrorizing volunteers who put their lives on the line is a far cry from patriotic British principles. Swift charges are an appropriate response when someone engages in reckless, real-world violence.
Right narrative
Popping a dinghy holding no migrants gets charges rushed through in days, while migrants filmed beating officers at Manchester Airport waited half a year, and demanded a private prosecution, to move the CPS at all. None of this would be happening if the state actually stopped the crossings instead of escorting them ashore — this quick legal action is yet another example of a two-tier justice system.
