- Investigators used automated license plate cameras to locate Morley's vehicle Tuesday on Missouri Route 291, while a Kansas City police helicopter followed it. Officers believed he could be armed and coordinated across local, state and federal agencies.
- On Tuesday, a tip connected Morley to a hunting-camp shed near Marion, Illinois, and a second stolen farm truck. Authorities tracked that vehicle into Missouri, where they recovered three stolen firearms after his arrest.
