The Facts
- A multi-state manhunt is underway after inmate Jacob Morley escaped from a Tennessee prison late Sunday evening. Authorities located the white 2008 Ford F-350 that Morley allegedly stole in Marion, Illinois, on Tuesday, but they did not find him nearby. On Wednesday, Illinois State Police began assisting Tennessee investigators.
- Prison staff determined around 11:30 p.m. Sunday that Morley was missing from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville. Surveillance video showed him crossing the perimeter fence and leaving in his prison uniform.
- About 1 a.m. on Monday, video showed Morley taking a white 2008 Ford F-350 from Keystone Drive, about 2 miles south of the prison. The truck, bearing Tennessee plate 138BBQV and a Lindamood Planting Company logo, later passed through Hornbeak.
