The Spin

Right narrative

The Palisades Fire wasn't some climate inevitability — it was deliberately set by a man fixated on Luigi Mangione and consumed by class resentment. He ranted to Uber passengers about capitalism and vigilante justice before torching 23,000 acres and killing 12 people. Left-wing rhetoric normalizing hatred of the wealthy created the ideological conditions for this destruction, and the media's silence on that connection is damning.

Left narrative

Climate change made the extreme fire conditions behind the Palisades disaster 35% more likely, adding 23 extra dry-season days annually to the L.A. region. This was the predictable result of a warming atmosphere making Southern California more combustible every year. Blaming ideology while ignoring the climate science driving these conditions means the next catastrophic fire is already being set up to happen.
