The Spin

Anti-Israel narrative

Israel has launched over 1,100 unprovoked strikes on Syria since Assad's fall, with zero retaliation from Syrian forces. The IDF has bulldozed homes, stolen livestock, killed crops and forcibly displaced entire villages — targeting people who never posed any threat. This is a systematic destruction of civilian life in a country that has done nothing but file legal complaints.

Pro-Israel narrative

Israel's operations in southern Syria exist for one purpose: keeping civilians safe from armed threats along a volatile border. The security zone is an active theater where armed terrorists operate, and the IDF acts to neutralize those threats before they reach Israeli territory. A buffer zone is the bare minimum response to a genuinely dangerous regional environment.
