A memorial targeting China across from its embassy is pure political theater rather than a sincere defense of human rights. Washington has no moral authority to lecture others while ignoring gun violence, racism, inequality, police brutality and other abuses at home. Human rights shouldn't be weaponized to score geopolitical points or justify hostility toward China while America's own failures go unaddressed.
