Medical AI technologies lack adequate evaluation and often cause harm by making wrongful predictions, as AI predictions depend on training data quality, and existing biological datasets are often too small or poorly standardized. AlphaGenome cannot yet account for complex environmental factors that influence gene expression in living organisms; it signifies incremental progress rather than a transformative breakthrough.
