A 47-year-old German woman with three simultaneous life-threatening autoimmune diseases — autoimmune hemolytic anemia, immune thrombocytopenia and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome — entered treatment-free remission after receiving CAR-T cell therapy at University Hospital Erlangen.

The patient had undergone nine prior treatments over more than a decade, including antibody treatments, steroids and immune-suppressing medications, and required daily blood transfusions before receiving the therapy.
