The Spin

Narrative A

RJ Mitte brought authenticity to "Breaking Bad" by playing a character with cerebral palsy while living with the condition himself. But his impact extended beyond the screen. Through disability advocacy, philanthropy and work with United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children's, he challenged stereotypes and pushed for greater inclusion. His legacy spans both entertainment and the lives he helped represent.

Narrative B

Mitte's death is a heartbreaking reminder that too many young people are struggling to find a way forward. Society cannot treat these tragedies as inevitable. Compassion, community support and a renewed commitment to protecting vulnerable lives must be part of the response, and anyone struggling should know there is hope and help available through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
