The Spin

Pro-Pakistan narrative

The scale of India's censorship knows no bounds, as several accounts that criticize the government are blocked while pro-government misinformation spreaders can roam free. It's abundantly clear that India is no longer a democracy, as Modi now manufactures consent for his agenda and to beat the war drum against Pakistan.

Eurasia Review

Pro-India narrative

The digital world is a battlefield much like the physical one, and governments have to respond decisively. Social media has been flooded with anti-India disinformation coming from state-affiliated accounts in Pakistan. India is not obligated to permit the undermining of their integrity from an adversary and will fight for the truth.

The Economic Times

Cynical narrative

Both parties in this conflict have weaponized misinformation on a scale not seen yet in contemporary war, with even official government accounts posting misleading clips. Neither India nor Pakistan have shown much respect for the truth or freedom of expression, and we must be scrupulous and skeptical.
