Anti-Trump narrative
The government has no legal authority to remove a person lawfully represented in the United States without due process. Kilmar Abrego Garcia has never been charged with a crime and was even exempt from being returned to El Salvador due to the very real danger to his life. Despite all this, the Trump administration refuses to act and even actively obstructs efforts to secure his return simply because they do not want to take responsibility for their monumental error.
Pro-Trump narrative
While Kilmar Abrego Garcia's deportation was a mistake, he is not the innocent soul the liberal left claims, but rather a fully-fledged member of MS-13, a violent terrorist organization. Besides, there was no way to bring him home by the end of Judge Xinis’ absurdly compressed deadline. Garcia is currently held outside U.S. jurisdiction. Being in Salvadoran custody, he cannot be brought back by the directives of a federal judge alone.
