The Spin

Left narrative

As it hints at siding against Colorado, SCOTUS is poised to impose a devastating rollback of long-held protections for LGBTQ+ youth nationwide. Every major medical organization condemns conversion therapy as pseudoscientific and dangerous, with studies showing it increases suicidal ideation among LGBTQ+ youth. This case threatens to strip states of their power to protect vulnerable minors from harmful treatments.

Right narrative

Colorado's conversion therapy ban is blatant government censorship of religious counselors who help clients align their lives with their faith. The state is silencing licensed professionals from simply providing talk therapy to clients who voluntarily seek help reconciling their sexual orientations with their religious beliefs. This attack on religious freedom forces counselors to abandon their convictions.
