The Spin

Republican narrative

Scouting America is nothing more than a shadow of its former self. This once-proud institution that cultivated responsibility, virtue, patriotism and faithfulness in young men has been sacrificed by the radical left on the altar of wokeness. Such an organization, which has broken its contract with the American people and their values, deserves no support from the federal government.

Democratic narrative

Cutting support for Scouting America would be a short-sighted decision typical of this administration. Through its activities, the program trains countless children in essential citizenship, leadership and survival skills that strengthen national security. With 20% of Air Force graduates coming from the Scouts, it is vital for America that the organization remains protected.
