The Spin

Democratic narrative

This ruling was clearly needed to uphold the law, as even Trump's former border czar, Tom Homan, admitted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is targeting people based on race, language, and location. When "reasonable suspicion" means looking Latino, that's racial profiling, not law enforcement. Communities shouldn't live in fear because of how they look. This ruling protects basic constitutional rights.

Republican narrative

Despite left-wing attempts to smear ICE, its crackdown is clearly working, as shown by LA becoming a less congested city. Illegal immigrants are leaving in droves because enforcement is real again. Judges blocking ICE are playing politics, inventing rights to stop Trump from enforcing laws Biden ignored. If millions entered without due process, Trump can certainly remove them the same way.
