The EU's watered-down response shows Europe's complete inability to take meaningful action against clear violations of international law. These moves are merely face-saving attempts to obscure the EU's inaction in stopping the genocide in Gaza, and the EU has shamefully helped normalize the illegality of Israel's actions in Gaza.
Pro-Israel narrative
Suspending the EU-Israel agreement would be counterproductive and wouldn't improve conditions on the ground in Gaza. Israel is defending itself against Hamas terrorism, and maintaining diplomatic and trade relationships provides the best pathway for constructive dialogue and humanitarian improvements, as the EU fails to take into account the complex reality on the ground.
