Not only does the agency's social media campaign feature footage from different cities and time periods, but includes captions that portray Latinos as un-American. This dishonest approach undermines trust in government institutions and reveals an administration willing to manipulate facts to push a racist agenda.
Republican narrative
The Washington Post is launching dishonest attacks against DHS while completely ignoring the real violence federal officers face. The liberal media more broadly is deliberately mischaracterizing legitimate immigration enforcement and focusing on trivial video editing, instead of the surge in brutal assaults against officers. DHS is rightfully defending America from criminal illegal aliens while biased reporters try to undermine these crucial public safety efforts.
