The Spin

Democratic narrative

Bovino flagrantly violated the judge's order by tear-gassing peaceful protesters without proper warnings. Video evidence clearly shows him throwing canisters at crowds and agents shooting pepper balls at close range against people simply recording the scene. These instances of federal immigration agents systematically ignoring constitutional protections and using excessive force must stop.

Republican narrative

Anti-ICE protesters have escalated to dangerous violence, forcing Border Patrol agents to use necessary riot control measures. Bovino was struck in the head by thrown objects and could have been severely injured. Federal agents have been properly following training protocols and giving multiple warnings before deploying chemical munitions to protect both law enforcement and civilians.
