The Spin

Left narrative

Major parties have devolved the election into a reckless spending competition while ignoring the root causes of the most pressing challenges facing Australia, especially as the Labor Party has been given little credit for delivering back-to-back budget surpluses. As Dutton has nothing positive to offer but a Trump-like economic risk, Albanese is the best option.

Right narrative

Dutton is failing conservative Australians by not delivering a credible alternative to government. He and his Labor lite platform have never been representative of true conservative voters — those who want a leader that stands up for traditional values and can articulate for the country's future. Even if Albanese is successful, it won't be an endorsement. of the Labor Party, but an indictment of Dutton for not promoting a clear conservative agenda.
