Democratic narrative

The facts of this case are as clear as day — the Hatch Act prohibits federally-funded campaign messaging, and Trump's DHS pushed anti-Democrat messaging in an official airport public announcement. While Republicans are unsurprisingly ignoring this, airports and Democratic congressmen are going to expose each violation for the whole country to see.

Republican narrative

Trump's DHS is the opposite of a politically motivated agency. The Democrats' sole reason for shutting the government down was to protect illegal aliens, not Americans, while DHS was working to pay first responders who were impacted by this shutdown. Americans deserve to know who is and isn't working for their best interests.
