Leon Panetta

Leon Edward Panetta is an American statesman whose career spans roles as U.S. Representative, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, White House Chief of Staff under President Clinton, CIA Director, and Secretary of Defense under President Obama—during which he oversaw the mission that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden. Raised by Italian immigrant parents and educated at Santa Clara University, he co-founded the Panetta Institute for Public Policy and remains a prominent voice on national security and civic leadership.
