CVS Caremark is the pharmacy services segment of CVS Health and one of the nation's leading pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), managing pharmacy benefits for more than 2,000 clients including corporations, health plans, unions, and government entities. Founded through the 2007 merger of CVS Corporation and Caremark Rx, the company is headquartered in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, distributes more than 1 billion prescriptions annually, and serves approximately 70 million plan members.
