Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Gave US Proposals to End Russia War
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Tuesday that his country's negotiators had presented the U.S. with proposals to end the Russia war.
Speaking in his evening address, Zelenskyy did not elaborate on the details but said: "We passed our proposals to the American side. America can ... can put pressure on Russia so that its plans change — from prolonging the war to preparing to end it."
The remarks came after, earlier in his address, Zelenskyy alleged that Ukrainian intelligence had obtained internal Russian documents that "confirmed" Russia was preparing for mobilization in the fall.

ICE Plans to Spend $20M to Buy Electric Shock Gloves
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Monday published a notice stating Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to spend up to $20 million to purchase thousands of conductive distraction and de-escalation devices, known as G.L.O.V.E. (Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter), for officers and agents by March 2027.
The G.L.O.V.E. devices are manufactured by Compliant Technologies LLC of Lexington, Kentucky, and function as standard patrol gloves until an officer activates an electrical mode via a switch. The gloves must be applied directly to skin to deliver a pain stimulus.
According to the manufacturer, the gloves deliver up to 380 volts upon skin contact and are advertised as bringing individuals into compliance in under three seconds, leaving no burns, marks or scars. The devices are not effective through clothing.

Crowley Defeats Hong in Wisconsin Democratic Primary
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley won Tuesday's Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial primary, defeating state Rep. Francesca Hong, a democratic socialist, by roughly 39.8% to 39.4%, according to CBS News results.
Crowley had dropped out of the race in early July before reentering days later with the endorsement of outgoing Gov. Tony Evers, while Hong had the endorsement of local branches of Democratic Socialists of America and led the race by double-digits in pre-election polls.
