Justice shouldn't stall out just because a case looks hard or witnesses go quiet — predators count on exactly that. Years of official shrugging ended only when outsiders refused to let go and put the truth in front of millions. Dismissing amateur sleuths as a nuisance ignores the result: felony charges and a predator in handcuffs.
While these catch a predator channels are often well intentioned, they can also wreck the very prosecutions meant to protect kids. Due process exists so the wrong person doesn't get branded, doxxed and ruined by a camera crew chasing clicks. An audience of millions paying for humiliation says plenty about entertainment, and little about keeping kids safe.
