Vienna Court Tries Former Syrian Officials on Torture Allegations

A Vienna court opened a trial on Monday against former Syrian Brigadier General Khaled al-Halabi, 63, and former police chief Lieutenant Colonel Musab Abu Rukbah, 54, both of whom pleaded not guilty to charges including torture, aggravated coercion, sexual coercion and serious bodily harm.
