Version 6.20.4
Though the U.S. should certainly exhaust every diplomatic opportunity to end this crisis, military action cannot be ruled out. Tehran has spent decades building up a network of proxies with the explicit purpose of threatening U.S. interests, and, given the regime's ruthless brutality toward the Iranian people, military strikes would certainly be justified. Nonetheless, plans must be put in place, and allies must be consulted before any action occurs.
Military action against Iran is justified and necessary after decades of failed diplomacy, sanctions and engagement. Indeed, past attempts have proven worthless against a regime that slaughters its own people and threatens global stability. Strategic strikes can degrade Iran's nuclear capabilities while emboldening brave Iranian protesters to finally overthrow this brutal theocracy.
Strikes on Iran would be catastrophic and counterproductive, likely strengthening the regime's grip on power while pushing the country toward a hermit state or civil war. This isn't America's fight — it's being driven by Israel's expansionist ambitions, and Iran does not pose any direct threat to U.S. soil. Israel wants to drag the U.S. into another endless Middle East quagmire with skyrocketing costs.
