US Announces Release of Citizen Held in Iran Since 2024

Iran has released dual U.S.-Iranian citizen Dena Karari, 53, President Donald Trump said Tuesday. Karari had been subject to an exit ban since December 2024, after her passports were seized during a family visit to Shiraz. She suffered a heart attack on July 8 before her departure.
