Royal Mail plans to cut as many as 2,500 jobs as part of an "organizational review," the British postal firm announced on Wednesday.

The privately owned company — purchased by Czech billionaire Daniel Křetínský's EP Group in a deal that was approved last year — said the cutbacks would not affect frontline postal workers and drivers, but rather those employed at the head office in London as well as those who work in a support capacity.
