Smart glasses, like Meta's, are built with privacy at their core. Features like a signal light, tamper detection and more alert bystanders to the presence of wearable cameras and prevent malign actors from hiding their intentions. A blanket ban would merely punish millions of ordinary users for the bad actions of a few; instead, smart design is the path forward.
