UEFA, CONCACAF and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) issued a joint open letter on Monday accusing FIFA President Gianni Infantino of a "fundamental breach of trust" over his now-abandoned plan to sell a 20% stake in World Cup commercial rights to private investors for roughly $4.2 billion.

The letter, co-signed by UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, AFC president Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa and CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani, called for a fully independent review of the episode — one in which FIFA and its staff would play no role.
