TrumpRx Adds 600+ Generic Drugs Under $5
Is TrumpRx a genuine win for American consumers or just a publicity portal masking bigger drug pricing failures?

TrumpRx continues to be a win for American consumers, as over 10 million have already visited the site, saving more than $400 million since its launch in February 2026. Now, more than 600 generic drugs are being added, while the program continues giving patients price transparency. When a longtime Trump critic like Cuban is on board, you know the savings are real.
Democratic narrative
Trump is overhyping this publicity portal, as many of its drugs are already cheaper on GoodRx or Cost Plus Drugs, and the deals only apply to cash-paying, uninsured patients. Brand-name drug prices have continued rising in 2026, with close to 1,000 brand drugs going up in January alone. The real savings for Americans came from Biden-era Medicare drug price negotiations.
