The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

This lawsuit is a direct response to the Journal's dishonesty. The prior judge didn't throw the case out, as a refiling was requested and now an updated suit has been filed. Media outlets that manufacture stories instead of reporting facts deserve exactly this kind of legal accountability.

Anti-Trump narrative

Trump's lawsuit continues to be a pure overreach rather than a legitimate defamation claim. The Journal authenticated the Epstein note. Disney and Paramount caved to similar pressure, but the Journal knows it must stand up for press freedom against legally dubious intimidation tactics.
