This is shaping up to be the most spectacular Independence Day celebration in American history. What Trump has announced is definitely the best way to mark 250 years of American independence. The country deserves this kind of bold, unapologetic patriotism and Trump is going to deliver it, much to the chagrin of freedom-hating liberals.
Anti-Trump narrative
It's no surprise that Trump is turning America's 250th birthday into a personal rally and hijacking a celebration meant for all Americans. This type of state-sponsored self-promotion has been part of Trump's egomaniac act for decades. July 4 should belong to the nation, not to whoever currently holds the office.
