Version 7.17.1
Mass deletions handled through opaque software and secretive protocols flip the electoral burden onto ordinary voters to prove they deserve a ballot, which is backwards in any democracy. Appealing against voters already cleared as eligible shows contempt for the very people the poll body exists to serve. Accountability has to start at the top, and resignation is the bare minimum.
Cleaning out the dead, the duplicated and the long-departed from voter lists is exactly the job an electoral authority is meant to do, and doing it well deserves credit, not a call for resignation. Internal debate among commissioners is healthy practice, not scandal, especially when final decisions land unanimously. Wild deletion figures and electronic voting machines scares collapse the moment the actual numbers are examined.
