Texas' Tarrant County Cuts 92 Election Day Polling Sites
Is this targeted voter suppression or a responsible restructuring that maintains meaningful ballot access?

Republican narrative
This plan exceeds the state's statutory minimum by 54 locations, averages 1.56 miles between Election Day sites and prioritizes locations with the highest turnout from 2022 and 2024. The plan responsibly balances voter access with sound stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Every registered voter in Tarrant County will still have real, meaningful access to the ballot.
Democratic narrative
Republicans are moving forward with voter suppression, plain as day. The poorest ZIP codes will absorb 41% of the losses while wealthier areas will lose just 15%. Removing polling sites from college campuses directly targets young and minority voters who previously turned out in record numbers. This is about political control.
