Version 7.18.3
Scapegoating migrants is the oldest trick for governments that can't fix clinics, borders or Home Affairs. A deliberately broken asylum system manufactures illegality, then punishes the people trapped in it. Letting vigilantes assault shopkeepers in the street invites a repeat of the 2008 bloodshed, and no country survives outsourcing law and order to the mob.
A country with mass unemployment can't be the dumping ground for every failed state's problems, and saying so out loud isn't hatred. Demanding that immigration law actually be enforced and borders secured is the bare minimum any functioning nation owes its citizens. Outrage only erupts when foreigners are the victims, while South Africans left bleeding on the same streets get silence.
