The Spin

Left narrative

Israeli settlers beating an NBC News crew and a Palestinian woman with clubs in the West Bank shows exactly what unconditional U.S. support enables. The Israeli government effectively greenlighted this violence, knowing the U.S. wouldn't push back. Funding a government that lets masked attackers assault American journalists is complicity.

Right narrative

A handful of masked rioters does not represent the broader settler population, and Israeli leadership, including Netanyahu and the IDF, swiftly condemned the attack. NBC's history of biased Middle East coverage makes the framing of this incident deeply suspect. Conflating a fringe violent act with official Israeli policy is a stretch that ignores the full context of Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria.
