The Spin

Anti-Russia narrative

Russia is actively helping Iran target and kill American service members by providing satellite intelligence on U.S. military positions in the Middle East. Iranian forces have already killed six Americans in Kuwait and damaged facilities in Bahrain using this intelligence. Moscow's alliance couldn't be clearer — while Ukraine offers battle-tested expertise to defend Americans, Russia stabs the U.S. in the back by arming its enemies with the tools to murder troops.

Pro-Russia narrative

Russia maintains diplomatic relations with all regional powers precisely because it refuses to pick sides in conflicts that don't serve its interests. Iran has consistently rejected deeper military alliances with Russia, sabotaging stabilization efforts in Syria and refusing to commit forces when needed. The relationship remains transactional rather than strategic, and Russia's balanced approach preserves its value as a mediator.
